Hello. I was on Yaz for 9 months and I stopped taking it on May 22nd 2012. My husband and I are trying to conceive. I had a light period a couple days after my last pill and then was expecting to get my next period 2 weeks ago, but nothing came. I'm worried that it will not come for several months now, after reading all of these posts. How long did it take you all to get your "real" period after the pill... not the "withdrawal" period you get while on the pill. My husband and I would like to conceive but I'm afraid this is going to be a long journey for us, as I have no idea if I'm even ovulating or when I will get my period. Please help!
Also, I was on Yaz several years ago for a brief period of time and I don't remember having any absent period then when I came off. |

i'm not trying to conceive at all, but in the same basket as you. stopped on may 6, and still no period. the first GYN told me that it was ok and that i should wait for 3 months. and another doctor told me, although it could be understood, it should have a reason like hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, PCOS, ovulation problem etc etc. and directed me to another GYN. i guess i'm going either today or tomorrow. will let you know if anything happens. |
