like I'm dying. I could barely move my legs today & yesterday. I feel like there is no hope. Everyone in my family just gives me a blank stare. Some things have gotten better but I feel new things are popping up and some symptoms are getting WORSE.

Lindsey,

No, you are not - ALONE. I have days like that, hopeless days. But I am not defeated. Do any part of your legs swell? Go to the doc if they are.

Apart from heavy legs, what other new symptoms you are facing? Do not give up, the journey ahead will bring out new symptoms for some while the old ones dying, new one arises. This happens to me, there's always sunshine after the rain.

Feel free to PM me.

Am sending you big warm ((hugs))

Leni

Lindsey,
I can only repeat what Leni has said. Hang in there, those days are awful but they do pass.

Lindsey,

I'm so sorry that you are feeling bad. I have definitely been there.
I wanted to recommend a book to you. It's called "The Pill, Are You Sure It's For You"? I just bought it this weekend and have been reading it nonstop. It has a great section about how the pill causes malnutrition in women and this results in a lot of health problems. It has a LONG list of over 20 vitamins & minerals that are depleted or out of balance while on the pill. This explains SO many of the symptoms that we experience on the pill and after coming off as our body strives to reestablish a normal balance. I recommend the book because maybe it can give you some help in terms of supplements that might help you start feeling better. For me personally, a high dose of Vitamin C has helped a lot.
I am not sure if you are unable to move because of muscle weakness/pain? I had quite a bit of that for a long time. I think that is often an issue of calcium/magnesium (either too much or too little).

I hope you start feeling better soon. Just know that it WILL start to get better.
Please feel free to message me if you need to.

~Martha

Thank you Martha. It's mostly muscle weakness. It feels like someone is literally pushing me down. I got my bloodwork back today and it looks like I'm anemic and my potassium is a bit low. It keeps going down despite my best efforts to eat potassium rich foods, so I'm thinking I might have low magnesium or something up with my aldosterone levels.

Lindsey,

I am sorry that you are having these issues. Yaz is known to mess with potassium levels. I have had a lot of muscle issues coming off as well. Thought you might like this link - it provides a long list of potassium rich food:

http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=nutrient&dbid=90

The pill also affects so many other vitamins and minerals in our body and throws off the balance. Things will get better as your body goes back to it's normal state - which is health.

It might be coincidental, but on the days that I have muscle problems, I have found that taking B complex vitamins seems to help ease off the pain. Also, if you are taking calcium, be careful with it. When I was taking calcium supplements, it made my muscle problems worse.

Ditto the Vit B, really helps me both with muscle issues and headaches. No idea why but I do know if I don't take it for a day or so (if I've been a bit rubbish at planning and have run out) I feel terrible.
