Has anyone heard of DIM? It's found in cruciferous vegetables and is supposed to lower bad estrogens (studies have shown it helps to reduce risk of certain cancers) and therefore increases the good estrogens in your body. I'm just wondering if it actually does this, or just lowers all estrogen completely? My mother had breast cancer and uterine cancer and my aunt had breast cancer (both of them were on contraceptives for a long time) and I don't want to get any sort of cancer by having bad estrogens, but considering I still have some hair thinning I don't want to increase my testosterone or anything like that either.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of it! Thanks

I tried it for just a few days, as a doctor gave a sample to me. I felt worse.

I actually take DIM along with Calcium D Glucarate and Flax seeds. I love it and it's helped me out a great deal.

I've lost a lot of the weight, my anxiety has been greatly reduced, sex drive is back to where it was, the migraines aren't as bad and my mood is just better overall. In short, I feel like myself again.

But, here's the thing with that I've noticed...Before the yasmin, I had higher than normal testosterone levels and lower estrogen and progesterone levels. I've found other people who have systems similar to me, have success taking DIM. Whereas, my female counterparts with a hormonal makeup of "normal" levels of testo, estro and progestro take DIM and either 1.Do not have any sort of results or 2. Seems to make the symptoms worse.
