Just out of interest, anyone play Halo on PC? I would compare it to wolf in that unlike alot of other fps where you can be successful as a lone ranger, Halo is best played as part of a team, and the fun you can have with a warthog (jeep) with one passenger beside you while you drive and the other manning a RPG or gatlin on the back.

ok, it doesn't have the depth of the objective maps in wolf we all know and love/hate, the types of games are more like Unreal Tournament, with CTF, DM and TDM and KOTH, also as there is quite a few vehicles to choose from, there is a race option, which you try to win by outrunning your opponents while trying to demolish them any way possible.

Just thinking about a team of 3 racing toward you in a warthog guns blazing, and you drop a frag grenade and jump out of the way, then while they are airborne, one or two still attached to the hog, you open fire picking them off like clay pigeons as they fall, makes me wanna play it now...

PS, the Single Player game is fan-bloody-tastic also!

PPS, they released a step by step guide on modding the game as far as textures etc, so my warthogs now all have flourescent seats and flames up the sides, heheh.

I have the first one. I could never get a good connection though and gave up. Single player was cool though.

Then I played a demo of Halo2 b4 it came out and I wasn't very impressed so I didn't get it.

i played both games on xbox (halo 1 and 2) so i know roughly wat the multi-player is like...very good fun...as savage say it is a team based game but u can do well on your own...its good to experiment with gun combinatins on that game, the best is the little green covenent pistol, charge it up, shoot an enemy once (takes all their shield away) then swap to secondary gun (preferably battle rifle) shoot them once with no shield and they die every time, easy once u get used to swappin between the 2 guns.

Its also good to try frag nade the guards so the shiel goes then battle rifle them.

A very tactical game and whilst i had xbox live it was a good substitute for rtcw...i also enjoyed the splinter cell multi player on live, and the call of duty multi player on xbox 360.

The only bad thing i will say about xbox live or the multi player on it is the way u find rooms...they do a "matchmaking" thing whereby u dont get to choose wat server u go on, u get put into a full server automaticaly...u choose wat game type u wanna play then live finds the game and players for you...sounds good but trust me i hated it...u dont get the list of servers like on rtcw or ase...so u generally get put into a bad ping server, which is why ive turned to pc gaming instead of console gaming.

ps...single player mode on most xbox games are always fun...halo single player on pc and xbox is 1st class, every detail has been considered, plus the story line for both games is pretty good too.

pps...ive heard rumours that in the 3rd halo "masterchief" (main caracter for the humans) dies because they want to make the 4th halo a fresh story and game etc.

I've played both Halo1 and Halo2, co-op with a friend on his xbox, really good fun but Halo2 doesn't come close to original Halo storyline imo. i remember being at a family meal and my brother asking had i met the flood yet, i replied, "the flood?", to which his wife started laughing hysterically. She had witnessed him scream panic when he encountered them for the first time. Utter genius. Battle rifle and shotgun the best way to deal with the flood.
In the multiplayer i found the combination of shotgun and pistol were the best. pistol could pick anyone off across the largest of maps and shotty killed almost instantly up close.
