LOOK AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS IF YOU WANNA BUY IT!!!!
OMG, i got to the space ship, my workmate had left me with no ammo, so i've been strangling and pistol whipping the aliens!
Then as i bought my own and there was no option for change cd key (and i missed owning the north koreans - also wanted to explore island :P) I uninstalled and reinstalled, back to the beginning...It's so amazing. Getting really good at changing suit options as i move and shoot, the enemy is weakened!
Seriously all, i'd get this again just for the single player, what's the Multiplayer like exxon? _________________ Each and every one of us continues to live either by the merciful sufferance of a God or at the whim of blind chance and indifferent nature. <Dean Koontz> |

huge maps!! this is what's multiplayer like :]
i just played for a couple of minutes in a local network 1 on 1 and we quit cause the spawn points were far away from eachother. unfortunately i can't try playing over the net yet, cause my keyboard set changes while I run the game dunno why, and i can't type @ at any key, which is required to log in :/
I'm gonna have to look for a patch for this, but had no time yet |

Played a few Mplayer games today, seems to be a shuffle between deathmatch and power struggle.
Deathmatch - as it says on the tin, a round which weapons are everywhere and maps can be a good size, not too small but lots of buildings etc.
Power Struggle - Different installations throughout the map, these ones really big. Objective is to steal bases and defend them from the opposing side. As far as i can tell there is different types of buildings which you use together to defeat the enemy. Not sure how this actually destroys the enemy base or whether it's a point victory but altogether it's a really fun game.

Yeye im playing this game now and i just made it into the spaceship. I like the nanotechnolegyy suit he's wearing (i wont 1 2) Andeuh what i pretty much quikly learend is not to take on every enemy you encouter in this game and you better sneak youre way in whit youre invisible cloack. Its also funny to take a allien enemy and smash his face up ! _________________ Anybody who would lose a little liberty to gain a little security will lose both and deserve neither |

Have enjoyed single player and multiplayer, a bit like RTCW or Halo in that it isn't 1 shot 1 kill, the suit attributes make it different from any 1st person shooter i've played. Seen a couple of speed hacks but only on non PB servers.
Alot of people are afraid to get it due to the high system requirements but as i haven't bothered getting my top end x1900xt card working on my windows drive in my mac i'm running it with my stock NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT and it runs smooth. Means you lose something as far as the amazing graphics, depth in forests, amazing shadow effects etc are concerned but i haven't tried maxing the vid settings, i just played default :s
As for the multiplayer game selection, there's really only the 2 that i played, it has the usual DM setting called Instant Action which has weapons/ammo dotted about the map, a good selection of weapons i might add.
The other is power struggle, alot better than capture the flag in that you start in your base, with "Private" rank and 100 units to buy weapons which can only be done in each base/spawn building. You can increase in rank each separate game and as you increase it means you start with at least +100 units for each rank. It is easy to get units buy killing, claiming spawn bases, weapon/vehicle factorys, generally being positive for your team. The object is to get enough energy by capturing energy sites until your teams energy level is high enough to allow manufacture of nuclear weapons in the appropriate facility, can't remember the blasted name LOL then you gotta take out the other teams base defenses and eventually their base with said "nucular" weapons. Requires teamwork as you need to hold more than one building at a time, defend the nuclear weapon while in transit and all the maps are well laid out imo.
As for the single player, with games like CoD single players disappointing me, Crysis reminds me more of RTCW because of the fantasy in the story mixed with real life settings, in other words, I'm happy i've got the game even just for the single player. i'll not say anymore about the SP as it would just ruin it. _________________ Each and every one of us continues to live either by the merciful sufferance of a God or at the whim of blind chance and indifferent nature. <Dean Koontz> |

| I was told that you had to have a pretty strong puter for this to run smoothly. Which I dont think I have. And its alot of money to get it, and then find out my puter really stinks. |

I was hoping to test this game on a few slower machines but as it we only have macs and to run windows they have to be intel ones (new faster) i can't test slow machines, maybe Ugod or Exxon have access.
What is your processor spec? and what gfx card you using Rams? _________________ Each and every one of us continues to live either by the merciful sufferance of a God or at the whim of blind chance and indifferent nature. <Dean Koontz> |

Ye i have a new pc 2.
I bought this game F.E.A.R. 2 years ago when i stil had my old pc and that could barley run it whit al options for grapix set to low (always very slow gameplay) and you would need these spec to run F.E.A.R.
-Proscessor: Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or equivalent
-1GB RAM or more
-256 Radeon 9800 PRO or Geforce 6600
And Crysis wil take more i think. _________________ Anybody who would lose a little liberty to gain a little security will lose both and deserve neither |

| I have a Pentium 4 3.2ghz...the Geforce 6600...but a half a gig of ram. I know I need more ram. But I think I only have one slot open. I have a 256 stick in the other 2. |
